Nirushan Guruparan, Registered Physiotherapist
Nirushan Guruparan is a Registered Physiotherapist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from York University, and a Master’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. He has been able to provide a holistic treatment approach to help best guide and treat the root cause of your problems. He has worked in both clinic and hospital settings treating clients from vast demographics ranging from athletes (like the Sigma FC soccer team), office workers, fitness enthusiasts, to clients from the geriatric, pediatric population and post-surgical populations, clients with neurological conditions, and clients with cardiorespiratory conditions. Nirushan has also worked for an ethno-racial mental health centre, conducting research and data collection on athletes with and without concussions, and contributing to literature on topics such as concussions in athletes as well as the effects of race, sex, gender, and class in sports.
In his free time, he enjoys lifting weights, hiking, playing soccer, tennis, and learning about fitness, nutrition, diet, and new exercises. Most of all, his time is best spent when he’s hanging with his family and friends.
