Natalie Hernandez, Registered Physiotherapist
On maternity leave (Matthew Lacasse is taking over the care of her clients while she is away)
Natalie brings over six years of training and experience in sports injuries working with collegiate varsity athletes. She was the head physiotherapist at a university in Asia and helped the Sports Development Office structure the sports rehabilitation program for university athletes.
Natalie holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Physiotherapy (BSc. PT) from De La Salle University-HSC, Philippines. She is a licensed Physiotherapist in Canada and is pursuing post-graduate training in the diploma of advanced manual and manipulative therapy.
Among Natalie’s career highlights includes the 24th South East Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand, where she was part of the medical staff for the Philippine national team covering several sporting events. She was also a Physiotherapist for the Philippine women’s national football team, which participated in the Asian Football Qualifying (AFC) tournament. Currently, Natalie is helping out the men and women’s rugby teams at the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club.
She is dedicated in taking the time with patient education and exercise prescription as part of achieving optimal recovery. She is very passionate about her practice and focuses on helping patients to recover from injuries. Her sense of reward is seeing you achieve your rehabilitation goals.
Among her interests is learning about different cultures, which drives her determination to explore the world one day. During her spare time, she loves reading books, baking, being outdoors and playing recreational sports such as badminton.
