Kristyna Zemanova, Candidate of Massage Therapy
candidate of massage therapy
Kristyna is currently in her last stretch as a student of the Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara College. It has been a rewarding program for her as she has learned so much about how the human body functions and how to treat a diverse population with a variety of techniques and modalities. She enjoys treating everyone, but her passion lies in athletics, sports massage and rehabilitation. Through massage, Kristyna is very interested in helping others overcome the physical and psychological stresses demanded of them so that they can perform their best.
At the Langara student clinic, she has treated many athletes ranging from rock climbers, cyclists, runners and horseback riders, to people with daily musculoskeletal pain, nerve compressions and osteoarthritis. While she cannot perform comprehensive treatments as a Body Worker until she is Registered, she will use her knowledge and experience to support her patients with their concerns.
Kristyna herself is an athlete and adventurer. She has been avidly climbing for 11 years and has been backpacking and cycling for most of her life. Other than sports and the outdoors, she loves architecture, photography and travelling.
