Heather attained both her Masters of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Exercise Science degrees from The University of British Columbia. She has experience working with a wide variety of clients, including sport injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and post surgical related cases.

Heather has continued with many post graduate courses and training. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (FCAMT) and is Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (Gunn IMS) certified. She also has her Certificate from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI).

Heather also has completed training in Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessments (SFMA), which looks to analyze whole body motor patterns. With these assessments, Heather is able to investigate and pinpoint dysfunctions within the body that can lead to pain and weakness. Heather is also a Certified ART (Active Release Therapy) Provider and uses ART as an effective means of muscle release.

She has a passion for sports physiotherapy and enjoys working with a wide variety of athletes. Having played collegiate level volleyball, as well as soccer, softball, basketball, Heather now occupies her time training and competing in triathlons (swimming, cycling and running) and long distance running. Her greatest training accomplishments to date are completing Ironman Canada in 2011 and the Penticton Challenge, an Ironman distance race, in 2013. Heather draws on her personal experiences when treating many different types of injures.

In her spare time Heather volunteers at local community events, such as The Sun Run and the Cross Fit National Championships.
