Caitlyn Dunphy, Registered Physiotherapist
BSc Kin, MSC PT
Caitlyn earned her Masters of Physiotherapy and Bachelors in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University and graduated with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Award for the top academic and clinical standings. She moved from Nova Scotia to join the INSYNC PHYSIO team in 2015. She loves acquiring new skills and knowledge and has taken courses in Advanced Manual Therapy, IMS needling and acupuncture. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Caitlyn was involved in athletics for 14 years as an athlete and coach. She was a sprint kayak athlete and coach for Team Nova Scotia at the Canada Games as well as Team Canada at the Pan Am Championships. She was also a ski instructor at Whistler and in eastern Canada.
Caitlyn’s clinical experiences have provided her with a wide variety of knowledge treating different types of patients and injuries. She has worked with children, adults, seniors, National team athletes, Paralympic athletes, special Olympic athletes, injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents, work place injuries, pre and post-surgery rehab, amputee rehab, and individuals with brain injuries.
Caitlyn’s interest in physiotherapy began during her athletic career and grew into a passion while she was coaching. She was always extremely invested in her athletes and wanted to understand more about movement dysfunctions and muscle imbalances to help her athletes reach their full potential. Now as a physiotherapist, Caitlyn transfers that investment in her athletes to her patients. No matter what your goal is (whether it is being able to garden without pain, chasing your grandkids or improving your athletic performance) Caitlyn will be fully committed to helping you achieve that goal.
When Caitlyn is not in the clinic you might find her skiing, kayaking, cycling, hiking or exploring her new home in BC!
