Iyad Salloum is a registered physiotherapist with a Master of Physical Therapy degree and a Bachelor of Science in physiology and kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. To constantly expand his skillset, Iyad combs through the latest research and continuing education courses to stay informed on the best practices to complement the hands-on and exercise interventions that help his clients achieve their goals.
His treatment approach is based treating the neuro-musculoskeletal system by providing his clients with the necessary education and management strategies, as well as a hands-on approach. Iyad utilizes different treatment techniques in his practice like therapeutic exercise, soft-tissue therapy, joint mobilizations and manipulation, taping and dry needling in individually tailored treatments for each client. Iyad is certified in intramuscular stimulation (IMS).
He has been involved in sports and orthopaedics (on both sides of the treatment table) throughout his life. He also worked with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC2 during their first playoff run in the United Soccer League in 2016 and provided coverage for IronMan Canada.
In his spare time, Iyad enjoys waking up at 5am on weekends to catch up on European soccer, playing soccer and exploring some of the trails at the North Shore and Sea-to-Sky Corridor.
